Who We Are

Threewaxbirds press is a new and developing Boston-based independent publishing company created to bring new voices to the shelves. We are currently looking for writers, poets, photographers, and artists looking to get their work published. We have a special place in our hearts for work that speaks from the edges, that takes on an unusual and new lens. threewaxbirds books highlight the beauty, irony, and pain of everyday life. They are books that are poetic, simple, memorable, and poignant. They are dark; they are hopeful. They are the product of sleepless nights and personal demons. They are funny; they are heartbreaking. Above all, books from threewaxbirds press are honest.



The Staff:

Ryan thinks hinks his best writing is often lost by the time he wakes up. He takes pictures and writes on the backs of his hands. He is the Editor & (Micro)Manager.

Eli is an excellent internet researcher, but tends not to click the first link that comes up. (He feels that doing so supports The Man.) He writes and researches. He is the Executive of Crafts and Charity.

Jane is pretty neurotic. One time she informed her doctor that she had a brain tumor; he assured her she didn't. She replied, "You will be sorry when I die." This is all you need to know about her. She is the Executive Reality/Symptom Checker.



Realistically, we are just hoping for a reality TV show. (We will settle for TrueLife or an HBO Documentary. Sometimes we are bold enough to dream that in twenty years we'll be featured on VH1 Behind The Music.) Let us know if you have connections.
